Free Standing Pop Up Card

A few weeks ago I did a pop up card class. This is one of the two cards that we made. It is a free standing pop up card. I used the High Tide stamp set which carried over from the last occasions catalogue....yay! Love this set.

To create the waves on the base, I repeat stamped the wave s image and sponged the edges with Marina Mist ink. The clouds were created by sponging around a scallop circle mask using both Basic Gray and Smokey Slate ink.

I will include the instructions for this card in next Monday Morning Update.

Day 7 of Daisy Delight

Day 7 of Daisy Delight. To give the water colour effect in the background, I inked up a clear block with Soft Sky ink, lightly spritzed it with water and stamped onto the Whisper White cardstock. Once it was dry, I stamped the images over the top. The other colours I used were Real Red, Garden Green and Night of Navy.

Daisy Delight 7 Day Challenge - Day 1

Day one of the challenge to use Daisy Delight stamp set every day for a week. To create these daisies I cut one punched out daisy in half and layered it . For the centre of the flower I used a gold faceted gem - they are the perfect size!
The colours used are Always Artichoke, Crushed Curry and Whisper White.
One of the best things about the photpolymer stamps is that you can bend the stamp into a different shape when putting it onto the clear block. I did this with the stems to so that they are curved rather than just being straight. Please remember to be gentle when doing this so you don't damage your stamp.

Catalogue launch make & takes

Three make & takes were made during the catalogue launch party. I decided to focus on three of the new bundles - Daisy Delight (my favourite!), Happy Birthday Gorgeous and Eastern Beauty. On each project we used the new in colours - Berry Burst, Leon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide, Powder Pink and Fresh Fig.

This is the card made with the Delightful Daisy bundle. The colours used were Berry burst and Tranquil Tide. I added white bakers twine and a gold faceted gem in the middle of the daisy - cards need a bit of bling!

This card uses the Happy Birthday Gorgeous bundle and all of the in colours! The background was created by stamping multiple stamps in different colours around the edge of the white cardstock. It is very easy to make your own Designer Series Paper  (DSP)if you don't have one suitable for your projects. The ribbon is amazing - it holds it's shape well and not too slippery to work with. The ribbon is available in all five in colours.

Eastern Beauty was used to make this card. I used the coordinating DSP . The sentiment has the ombre look. This is easy to achieve by inking the stamp in the lightest colour first (in this sample I used Lemon Lime Twist) and then sponging the darker colour (Tranquil Tide) on part of the sentiment using a sponge dauber, then stamp. The medallion was made using a selection of the Eastern Medallion framelits.

Please note that these cards were inspired by very talented ladies but I am sorry that I cannot remember who they were to give them credit.
