August Newsletter

Hi Ladies,

It’s nice to be home after two week in America attending the SU! Grand Vacation in Utah and spending time on the East Coast visiting with friends in New Jersey as well as spending time in New York and going to Niagra Falls.

The time in Utah was amazing. Head office in Riverton and the manufacturing facility in Kanab was amazing. I will be posting pictures on my blog in the coming days so please stop by to take a look.

Would you like a free product bundle? The answer is yes of course!!!

All you need to do is host a workshop/party between now and the end of October to get an entry in the draw. If your workshop/party sales are $400.00 or more you will receive an extra entry. The bundle will include cardstock, accessories, stamp sets, premade gifts and possibly even a voucher to purchase some new products from the annual or seasonal catalogue. For every five booking I get I will add one packet of Designer Series Paper to the bundle. Please call me to schedule your workshop/party.
Bring a Friend
I just love see so many familiar faces in classes, workshops and clubs but I thought that it might be fun to include some new faces as well. I know that you may be thinking that your friends are not interested in papercraft but it would be great to see them and of course it doesn’t hurt to ask, if nothing else they get to spend a bit of time with you. So what I am going to do is this. If you bring a new face to a workshop, class or club I will give you a nice product bundle just to say a huge thank you. Of course if you are planning on bring your friend to a club or class please let me know ahead of time so I can prepare the materials for them.

Something to try: Distressing DSP

What you will need DSP, a sanding block, stamping sponge and an ink pad.

Sand the DSP in different directions and on different sections– this will give the DSP a worn look. Once you are happy with how it looks dust off the sanded paper. Ink up the stamping sponge in a slightly darker colour than the DSP and apply the ink to the sanded areas. I find that applying the ink a circular motion works well. Use your distressed DSP on your project. This same technique can also be used with the core-dinations cardstock.

You've Got Style
