Birthday Book


This is a birthday book that I made for a class earleir this year. I used was the Summer Solstice stamp set and the 2011-2012 In Colours.

I made this card for Chantelle's 18th birthday. I used the Creative Elements and Bring on the Cake stamp sets and Beau Chateau Designer Series Paper

Paper Bag Scrapbook

Make a lovely scrapbook out of paper bags and Designer Series Paper. You will get to choose the DSP that you would like to use along with coordinating cardstock and stamp sets.

I know that there a lot of ladies who have thought from time to time about being a demonstrator so they can receive their product at a reduced price, earn a little bit of extra household income or just have a hobby that can support itself.

To remain an active demonstrator you are required to have commissionable sales of $400.00 per quarter, this works out to be less than $40.00 per week. (Commissionable sales are the total sales minus GST – so you will require total sales of $440.00 each quarter. How we get this figure is $440.00 divided by 1.1 equals $400.00, I simply took the GST out

With your demonstratorship you do not have to do any scheduled events such as workshops or classes. As long as you reach your quarterly minimum sales and this may be done simply with the product you purchase for yourself or products that you sell to friends and family. There is no contract period for being a demonstrator – if your situation changes and SU! No longer works for you, you can end your demonstratorship without penalties.

What you can expect from me is ongoing support as required. I get together with the ladies in my downline about once a quarter to discuss what has been going on at Stampin’ Up!, we share ideas and do a group swap. I am available any the time to answer questions and provide support if you decide to run events.

The best part is this, you can now sign up to be a demonstrator for just $169.oo. The kit includes products of your choice to the value of $235.00 and the business bundle which includes catalogues, order forms and a range of business supplies to get you started.

 There are only a few requirements to become a demonstrator – you must sign the Independent Demonstrators Agreement and there is a minimum sales requirement of $400.00 per quarter as mentioned above. This is such a wonderful opportunity to take advantage of. You will be able to work your own hours and share your hobby with other like-minded people. Convention

As you may know the national convention was held last week end. I had such a great time and have so many new ideas to share with you. I have also seen a number of the new products that will be launched in the new catalogue in September and I cannot wait to be able to share them with you.

At convention each year there is an awards night honoring the demonstrators who achieve in the areas of sales, recruiting, leadership, incentive trip, milestone award and demonstrator of the year. This year I received two awards – one in the $30,000 sales category and I ranked 22nd in the demonstrator of the year award. I would like to thank you all so much for your continued support throughout the years, without you I could not have gained these awards.

Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea

I held two morning tea’s in May to help raise money for the Cancer Council. My goal was to try and raise $200.00, we did fall just a little bit short of this goal and we raised $176.75. Thank you so much to all of the ladies who helped to raise this money for such a great cause. The winner of the raffle is Emily Jones, congratulation Em!

The projects that we did on the day will be posted on my blog.

To get a copy of the catalogue you can purchase one from me, view it online at my web site or receive one as a part of the hostess envelope when you book a workshop. The catalogue includes framelit dies,  edgelit dies, simply scored, new stamp sets and accessories.

Ink Refills

Please keep in mind that the 2010-2012 In colours will be retiring in September this year. If you have these ink pads you may like to start thinking about getting the ink refills before the retired list comes out in August as these are items that sell out very quickly. The ink refills cost $5.95 each.

Paper Bag Scrapbook Class

Date:  Saturday, 30th June

Time:  1pm

Fee:  $45.00 – a $20.00 deposit is required at the time of booking.

During this class you will make a paper bag scrapbook. You will have your choice of DSP, coordinating cardstocks and ribbon. You will need to register for this class no later than 20th June so I can order the DSP. To view the sample please take a look at my blog and facebook page – the sample will be posted within the next few days.

Stamp club dates for 2012
Stamp club will be held on the second Wednesday of the month. Please note the new start time of 7:30pm.

Wednesday, 13th June

Wednesday, 8th August

These dates can be changed if necessary to fit in with other events.





Something to try



Coloured Embossing (depressed side):



Equipment:

Multipurpose platform, two cutting mats, an embossing folder, brayer and a classic ink pad.



Sandwich:

Multipurpose platform opened to tab 1, one clear cutting mat, embossing folder with cardstock placed in the middle and one cutting mat.

If the embossing folder has an intricate or busy pattern you may choose to open the multipurpose platform to no tabs so the embossing does not cut too deeply into the cardstock.



Steps:

1.      Using the brayer apply ink to the depressed side of the embossing folder.

2.      Place cardstock in the embossing folder and put through the big shot machine
